Welcome to my Business venture on Devonshire Road....
For those of you that don't know me, hello I'm Katie and I am the proud owner of MAYFIVE hair salon on Devonshire Road.
My dream has always been to have my own Salon, I have worked in the industry now for 14 years, and I am FINALLY achieveing my ultimate goal.
I began my training at Vidal Sasson at the age of 16 where I received the best education, I am very grateful to my old boss Stephen who supported me with this whilst I worked alongside him in my first Salon in Buckinghamshire.
I wanted to experience London working life so I went on to work at a presitgious Central London salon, I grew in my role to become the Colour Manager and a Senior Master Stylist. As well as this I have been very lucky and grateful to work along side leading names in the Industry and educated for L'Oreal not only in the UK but also internationally in Greece Portugal and Madrid. Becoming an educator for L'Oreal and working on This Morning doing makeovers have definitely been the highlights of my career, until I found this little gem at 44 Devonshire Road.......
So .... what now?
The salon is being built by a great company called 'BePositiveSalons', who help design and plan salons all around the UK.
After carefully planning out the mood and style of the Salon they quickly provided me with a floorpan and 3D visuals for the final result, as well as a team of builders.

So this is cheesy... I know ... but genuine! Stats in the past have proved that hairdressers tend to be the happiest in their jobs.
My career is my passion, I love to be able to make people smile through giving them gorgeous hair.
The Salon is still being built and hoping to be open in June, to check on the progress see the blog under CONSTRUCTION to follow the works.
